Q: What types of massage do you specialize in?
A: I mainly specialize in Deep Tissue and Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) recovery massages. Thai massage is a smaller part of my practice.
Q: What inspired you to learn Thai massage?
A: I took a Thai Massage elective course at East West College of the Healing Arts in 2007, where I was impressed by the use of feet, knees, elbows, and passive stretching techniques.
Q: Where have you studied Thai massage?
A: I studied Thai massage in Thailand in 2009 at the Healing Tao Center, Sunshine Massage School, I.T.M. School, and Baan Hom Samunphrai School. I returned to Baan Hom Samunphrai School for six weeks in 2017 and most recently trained at Sirichan Massage School & Clinic in 2025, practicing under Dr. Nooy’s supervision in Abdominal Massage, Thai Deep Walking Massage, and Traditional Thai Massage.
Q: When did you start your massage practice?
A: I began massage training in 2006 and have been practicing since 2007. With 18 years of experience, I’m still learning and hope to practice for another 18 years.
Q: What is your experience with MVA recovery?
A: Most of my experience comes from working in chiropractic clinics with clients ranging from teenagers to seniors, including those recovering from motor vehicle accidents. Provide me with your Claim Number and Claims Adjuster’s contact information, and I’ll handle the rest so you can focus on healing.
Q: How does your personal experience influence your work?
A: Having been hit by a car in 2007, I understand the healing process intimately. This experience, like an initiation, informs my ability to support clients, especially those recovering from accidents, with empathy and tailored care.
Q: What techniques do you use for accident recovery?
A: In the early phases, I use gentle massage techniques and passive movement to promote relaxation and support the parasympathetic system. As the acute or PTSD phase resolves, I can apply deeper tissue techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, or active movement to restore joint mobility and reduce pain.
Q: How do Deep Tissue and Thai massage complement each other?
A: Deep Tissue and Thai techniques work together to address both the physical and energetic body. Like Chinese Medicine, Thai massage focuses on meridians or sen lines, ensuring energy flows unimpeded to reduce pain and promote healing.
